Captain Robert Ogonowski is a highly experienced Offshore Installation Manager (OIM) and Master Mariner, holding unlimited OIM and Master Mariner licences, along with a DP Unlimited certification.
With over 30 years at sea—including 22 years in the offshore oil, gas, and wind sectors—Robert has held senior roles such as OIM, Captain, Night OIM, Barge Master, Stability Section Lead, Chief Mate, and Senior DPO. His experience spans a wide range of vessel and project types, including semi-submersibles, drillships, jack-ups, self-propelled wind installation vessels, pipe-laying operations, ROV support, and PSV operations.
Robert brings extensive knowledge of North Sea drilling operations, with a strong understanding of UK regulatory frameworks, including Safety Case and DECC requirements. His leadership, technical expertise, and commitment to safety make him a valuable asset to the Dargavel Engineering team.
